Strong Communities need Strong Foundations
Right now in rural Andhra Pradesh, the village of Polepalli does not have a water purification system. Women and children are forced to walk for miles every day to fetch water, which can sometimes put them in danger.
The village of Mallikarjunapalli does not have a school house. Classes are held outside, exposing children to the elements, and community groups have nowhere to meet.
With your help, we can change that.
Whether you give $100 or $10 a month, your contribution will help the infrastructure rural communities need to pull themselves out of poverty. Brick by brick, you can help lay the foundation for a better future.

A nearby water purification facility means that women and children can spend more time in school and making a living instead of fetching water to cook and bathe. A nearby schoolhouse makes kids less likely to drop out and gives support groups for women and people with disabilities a place to meet. A house deeded to a woman provides a safe and healthy living space for her and her family and raises her status in the community. As each positive change builds on the last, the ripples continue to spread, empowering entire villages as more and more people share in the benefits.

About VFF USA
The Vicente Ferrer Foundation USA (VFF USA) is a DC-based foundation devoted to empowering rural communities in the Southeast Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We focus on improving the lives of India's most marginalized groups to build a more just and equitable society. We place particular emphasis on assisting the most vulnerable populations--children, women, and people with disabilities--to ensure that development in rural areas leaves no one behind. Through our local implementing partner, the Rural Development Trust (RDT), we develop holistic, long-term solutions that empower communities, improve living conditions and promote lasting positive change.
