Unlock Opportunities: Support Inclusive Digital Education this Giving Season

This giving season, join hands to support the digitization of RDT Inclusive High School.

Turning an Experiment into Reality: Worldwide, children with special needs are often sent to special schools, resulting in a lack of mainstream professional skills as they grow up. This leads to a staggering 99% unemployment rate in India for visually and hearing-impaired students. The new digitally accessible pedagogy has not only facilitated higher studies in competitive colleges but has also opened doors to jobs in global multinational corporations.

Education knows no boundaries! At RDT Anantapur Inclusive High School, students from diverse backgrounds, including those who are visually & hearing impaired, share aspirations for similar career goals. Support our efforts to provide them with digitally accessible pedagogy and empower diverse learners this Giving Season to reach for the stars & achieve their dreams!

We aim to assist 50 students from 6 & 10 grades by catering to diverse learning needs through the provision of specialized laptops, equipped with the below cutting-edge assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers
  • Magnifiers
  • Speech recognition software

What is Digitally Accessible Pedagogy?

The newly harmonized digitally accessible pedagogy empowers all students with special needs and learning barriers to overcome obstacles using affordable tools widely available in mainstream society. For every type of disability, students with special needs are trained to utilize these tools, enabling them to overcome barriers in reading, writing, and learning.

This approach allows the Print Disabled (visually impaired and neurodivergent) to independently write their examinations using computers and facilitates blended learning for those who are hearing-impaired and neurodivergent, including individuals with intellectual disabilities, ADHD, autism, dyslexia, etc. Importantly, this pedagogy does not require teachers to learn assistive technologies, allowing for immediate integration.

Your contribution isn't just a donation; it's an agent of change!

Did you know that physical limitations often discourage visually and hearing impaired students from pursuing STEM careers? Digitization can bridge this gap, offering a proper understanding of STEM subjects and igniting interest in pursuing a career in these fields. Let's conquer barriers to STEM education for visually & hearing impaired students through digitization, opening doors to limitless possibilities.

Help us raise $35,000 to equip visually and hearing impaired students with specialized laptops, enabling them to pursue their dream careers with assistive technology.
